JAIMI-LEE IS A BORN AND BRED TERRITORIAN AND WAS ADMITTED AS A SOLICITOR IN THE NORTHERN TERRITORY SUPREME COURT AND THE HIGH COURT OF AUSTRALIA IN 2014.
Jaimi-lee joined Hunt and Hunt in October 2016 as an Associate but was thereafter promoted to Senior Associate in January 2020.
Jaimi-lee has many years of experience in the area of workers compensation having acted for approved insurance providers in the Northern Territory along with self-insured employers in respect to complex litigated and non-litigated claims. Jaimi-lee has provided substantive advice to employers and employees alike with respect to a wide variety of human resources and industrial relations disputes such as breach of contract, unfair dismissal claims, enterprise bargaining, bullying and harassment, discrimination and general employment related issues. Despite experience in the industrial relations and workers compensation spheres, Jaimi-lee’s versatility has enabled her to also provide comprehensive advice in other areas of law such as motor accident, child protection, family law, defamation, local government issues, personal injury claims, liquor licensing disputes and sporting association’s legislative compliance. Jaimi-lee is committed to providing accurate and timely advice to her clients ensuring that all stakeholders are worked with simultaneously from the date of instruction through to resolution of the matter.
In her spare time, Jaimi-lee enjoys playing hockey and developing the sport through her role as President of her local hockey club.
