CHRIS JOINED HUNT & HUNT IN 1995 AND BECAME A PARTNER IN THE DARWIN OFFICE IN 2000 AND HAS OVER 25 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A LEGAL PRACTITIONER.
Chris has an extensive complex civil litigation practice with a broad practice in insurance law, and has done so in the Northern Territory for over 25 years. She also provides advice in employment law which she sees as complimenting her insurance practice; especially workers compensation.
Chris has acted for a range of insurance entities, ranging from statutory insurers, approved insurers and self-insureds, in the Northern Territory. Chris provides high level advice and representation in complex litigated and non-litigated claims, having taken charge in a range of insurance-related matters. This includes but is not limited to workers compensation, recovery actions, professional indemnity, motor accidents, public liability, compulsory third party, personal injury, negligence, and medical negligence.
She is in constant communication with her clients and makes a conscientious effort to conduct matters cost effectively.
Chris prides herself on her in depth knowledge of the Northern Territory jurisdiction and expertise in dealing with tricky legal issues in a common sense and practical way.
Chris has been involved in theatre productions for most of her life and is currently enjoying being on the Board of the Darwin Festival. She is also the current chair of Top End Women’s Legal Service.
